As an investor in private equity funds for over 25 years, Ian has accumulated an extensive knowledge of the sector. He now works closely with institutional investors seeking liquidity from tail end portfolios.
Ian started investing in private equity funds in 1981 with Guardian Royal Exchange and subsequently for Granville Baird and other clients. During this time he has reviewed over 1000 private equity fund proposals, giving him a unique and extensive range of contacts in the industry.
Ian has produced several papers in the evolution of particular areas of private equity, and has been a keen observer of the development of the European and Asian markets.
