John Beatty

John is Chairman of Hollyport Capital. He has extensive contacts throughout the fund management community, and works closely with institutional investors and wealth managers to structure private equity portfolios designed to meet their specific investment objectives.

John is an experienced corporate financier with extensive advisor experience in all aspects of the private equity industry. He began his City career with Hambros Bank in 1971 and subsequently spent 5 years at 3i Corporate Finance. In 1985, he co-founded First Independent Corporate Finance, a boutique specialising in the provision of corporate finance advice to smaller public companies, private equity backed companies and management buy-outs and buy-ins which was acquired by EFG Private Bank in 1994.

John is a Fellow of The Securities Institute and has a degree in Physics and Mathematics from The University of East Anglia.
